I’ve had the campervan three years now and I literally forget to go for adventures in it!
The first year or two I couldn’t get enough of going on van outings. Day trips, overnighters – whatever. But now the novelty has worn off, I forget I have all these amazing opportunities at my fingertips.
So, when my friend Sara suggested we do a campervan overnighter in the Peak District, I jumped at the chance.
We arrived on Saturday evening at a beautiful spot overlooking Hayfield. The views were pretty breathtaking.
There is something about being high up and in a remote rural spot that feels like a proper escape from everything.
We ate delicious food, caught up and did a bit of journaling and tarot.
It was truly inspirational and fun. And it was so easy to arrange. Normally it takes going on holiday to get that sense of escape and freedom and perspective.
I realise not everyone has got a campervan to replicate this experience, but maybe pitch up a tent with a pal and do the same. Or do an evening hilltop sunset hang out with a friend.
Most of us aren’t too far from stunning countryside, and even taking an hour or two in a beauty spot can alter how we feel and think quite dramatically.
